All Summer Long.
Finally the beaches are open, the pool has been chlorinated and you can smell the hamburgers on the BBQ. Let’s face it, Summer is kind of like Christmas, everyone is happier and with an great shade of tan on their skins.
Memorial Day [Weekend] is the unofficial kick off to Summer! But since everyone is already in Summer mode, what better way than listing the must have’s for your day-to-day-to-beach essentials
Here are some of the fave’s you must have in your closet for the seasons:
It’s no longer frowned upon to wear white. Although, I like to believe you wear whichever color you want all year around, this is the time everyone will be wanting to show off their favorite white essentials.
The LWD (Little White Dress) is a piece of item you need in your closet. Just like having a LBD (Little Black Dress) that goes for all occasions. You don’t have to break the bank to look your best this Summer.
The Scuba Lace Sheath Dress is exactly what you need! It’s a classic white dress that can go from daytime office meetings, to date night. The best part of it? It’s on clearance at Target for $14.99 (original price $49.99). This is a deal you cannot miss out on.
Sunglasses aren’t only there as a final touch to your look. It’s very important to keep your eyes from ultraviolet rays–also known as UV. If you don’t take good care of it, it can surely damage your vision in the long run.
Picking out sunglasses is always fun, there are so many options, shapes and sizes, different colors. My pick is the classic Wayfarers which Taylor [Swift] would agree–they never run out of style!
Ray-Ban is the only brand that comes to mind. Definitely worth the investment because they’ll be good for any season and last for years.
Although these are sold out, you can try finding it in stores.
If you’re trying to be more on trend with the sunglasses for the Summer, Quay Australia is what you’re looking for.
IT’S A SIN shades will make you look fearless and fashion forward and it’s super affordable $50.
Managing to keep that Summer bronze and glow is hard. It’s a true ritual: tanning oil, turn, dip [in the water], repeat. But if you’re not careful you can harm your skin and get overly burnt, and have too much exposure to UV light.
When it comes to tanning be extremely careful. Don’t only opt for tanning oils, SPF will get you the bronze you need and protect your skin.
If you’re sunbathing opt to do it between 9AM-12PM –when the sun isn’t too strong, during this time I would use tanning oil with SPF 15(it will get the work done!)
*Recommended Australian Gold
Between 12PM -3PM right when the sun is the strongest, use SPF 30, and after 3PM you can go back to tanning oil with SPF 15.
*Recommended Banana Boat
[this is just a personal tip, which works for me]
Please be informed to always have SPF on you. Take care of your skin and drink lots of water to stay hydrated in the sun–regardless if you’re out sunbathing or not.
These items will keep you fashionable from May – September but let me tell you, you can still wear these items outside of the official Summer season!
