The city is great place to be, whether is Spring or Summer, Fall or Winter. But lately the rain has really gotten the best of us, and honestly, I can not take it anymore.
Since I am no Mother Nature, I have to deal and come to peace with the fact it might rain for a little longer.
It’s okay to get wet and dance in the rain.
This is NYC, the city that never sleeps, the Big Apple, Concrete Jungle–whatever you want to call it. And it doesn’t stop for anyone.
To put the sunshine back on this
cloudy rainy day, here are a couple of places you can go to unwind, enjoy the city, and just not get so bummed after checking your weather app every hour.
The place you can sit and stare at abstract paintings and say : Ahhh, yes! Even if you have no idea of what the paintings might be. I love museums so this is definitely a must “Gogh”.
What to wear: a beret –because where else would you wear one?
What to check out: van Gogh’s Starry Night (even Cookie Monster liked it!) and other historical paintings (on level 5). Other cool exhibits: Unfinished Conversations and Making Spaces.
CoffeeMania NYC @coffeemanianyc
What’s better than sippin’ latte’s on a rainy day? Sippin’ latte’s at CoffeeMania. #CoffeeGameStrong
This place is great for you to come and relax, open up a book
and put it down, scroll through your Instagram without having a care in the world.
What to wear: Comfy pants–because rain+coffee=comfy pants
What to check out: “Raw Coffee” (best selling coffee with taste and texture of ice cream) & get your camera ready to snap some pics and forget about the gray weather outside.
Ever wanted to make your own lipstick? If the answer is yes, then this is the place for you.
It’s as easy as 1,2,3:
- Choose a shade
- Pick a finish
- Pick an all-natural scent
What to wear: Embroidery top –because it will look better once you decide to take a selfie with your new lip color
What to check out: The whole entire lab
This is a really cool concept and great pass-time activity for those who love make-up. If you’re willing to drop $55 bucks on a custom made shade, then run to the Lip Lab.
If not, you can always try
Don’t let the rain bring you down. Visit these places and show the rain who’s the boss. If not, there’s always Netflix….which sounds pretty good right about now.
