RHONY Recap: The Good, The Bad & The Tinsley

Get your pinot ready, it’s time for a quick recap. Here’s what you’ve missed:

Carole and new-girl Tinsley, calling her T for short, talks about re-inventing themselves. Well, Carole suggested for T to to re-invent herself in the city. Suggesting she’d cut her hair, and I’m pretty sure if she cut all her hair off, she’d look like a British man.

Sunshine on a Cloudy Day

The city is great place to be, whether is Spring or Summer, Fall or Winter. But lately the rain has really gotten the best of us, and honestly, I can not take it anymore.

Since I am no Mother Nature, I have to deal and come to peace with the fact it might rain for a little longer.

It’s okay to get wet and dance in the rain. Continue reading “Sunshine on a Cloudy Day”

2016: The Year of Realizing Stuff

Kylie realizing this is the year to realize!

“…I feel like this year is really about, like, the year of just realizing stuff. And everyone around me, we’re all just, like, realizing things.” – Kylie Jenner

Have you given yourself enough time to stop and realize what you haven’t realized all year?

This is THE year to realize stuff but I wasted it by not realizing what I had to realize!

2016 was supposed to be eye opening, like, really, realizing what is real, realizing what is life, realizing that one guy never texted back, type of year. Continue reading “2016: The Year of Realizing Stuff”

Move over DJ Khaled, there’s a new kid in town. #BlessUp

It’s been a surreal, crazy few days with Cosmo announcing the one and only Spencer Pratt as their newest addition to the magazine as an entertainment commentator.

I know what you must be thinking, but stop right there. Yes, we had to put up with his odd and annoying behavior on the Hills show… but you have to admit, the guy is hilarious.

It may have seemed weird back then, when he started wearing all those crystals, and we’d have to sit and watch that dreadful season of him sucking the energy from it.. But you see, that’s funny. Right? Haha? Get it?

…Me either.

You may have not seen it then, but looking at it now, he’s saying what others aren’t and is truly playing the card of being the “voice of our generation” [for entertainment]. Okay, maybe not, but he’s making his way there. It’s refreshing, really.

As a former Hills fan and a devoted Cosmo reader, I had to check out and see what the hype was about. Was Cosmo way out of line to have Spencer Pratt as an commentator? Is he really that funny? I had to see it for myself.

I began following his account on Twitter and Snapchat to get the 411 on the PRATTMOPOLITAN.

His snaps will make your day. If you’re not a subscriber to any magazine like People, Us Weekly, Life & Style, you’re in luck! He’ll go page by page showing the latest news and commenting on anything and everything! Definitely worth having Snapchat!

And on Twitter, well, you have to read it for yourself:

It’s interesting how up to a couple of days ago many of us rolled our eyes to the mention of his name. Then Cosmopolitan Mag. came and opened the door for him to simply be, well, himself. And now, most of us can’t get enough of his now hilarious comments.

Life is funny that way…

Cry Me a River: Bachelorette Recap!

The Bachelorette was on last night bringing to the comfort of our own homes the full on teenage drama and clicks.

“You got your freshmen, ROTC guys, preps, J.V. jocks, Asian nerds, Cool Asians, Varsity jocks…”

It was like watching the guy version of Mean Girls.

Loves it!

Who knew guys could bicker this much?

If you’re not a fan of the show, it’s all good–honestly, you’re not missing out on much. Except, you are! There’s something about reality TV that makes everything right in the world.

Moving on…

This past Tuesday night the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills got real. Like any other group of friends, they decided to casually take a trip across the world and visit Dubai.
If you’re a RHOBH fan you already know this but if you aren’t, and love watching people on T.V. living their luxurious lives, then you have to watch it.
Other than being speechless at Kyle and Lisa’s room–I’m sorry, room is such a bad wordto describe where they’re spending 20% of their time. Palace is a better word. Their $40,000 a night really set the tone for the trip, and what goes hand in hand with a $40k room?
Fabulous designer clothes!
If you thought that muumuu’s were out of style, then honey, you’re about to be  muumuu converted.

Oh darling.

During the episode, as Lisa Rinna and the girls were having a heated conversation about Yolanda (what else is new), all I could focus on was their dresses.

So flowly. So carefree–let it all hang loose!
Muumuu’s is known as oversized dresses that women wear in hopes to hide the extra curves. But now these muumuu’s are giving fashion a better, yet, more sophisticated name.

But let’s get to what really matters. The clothes! My fav goes to: Vanderpump and Girardi.

Vanderpump’s muumuu dress suited her very well. It was a lace up in yellow gold with a printed neckline. If you’re interested in this dress, check out Les Pommettes online. The style is called: Parides Long Lace up Cherry Blossom and it costs $469.

For me, Erika Girardi’s fuchsia pink dress was the winner. That’s the dress I’ve been dreaming of since, well, Tuesday night. And not to mention google has not helped in any way to find the dress, better yet a much less expensive version of it.

Girly moment: can we just talk about how the combination of the  fuchsia pink and her yellow nails were just perfection.

I saw Cady Heron wearing army pants and flip flops, so I bought army pants and flip flops.

Unfortunately I have no idea where to find this majestic dress so we’ll just have to settle for second best.

At Kyle’s by Alene Too online boutique you’ll be able to find some styles close to what Erika was wearing. But nothing tops the real thing.

Happy shopping everyone.

Sério, amiga? The Low-Down on the Oscars

We all know Fashion Police talks about the good, the bad, and the ugly from fashion events such as the Oscars. But I have decided to just focus on the bad, only because life ain’t always peachy.

Screen Shot 2014-03-07 at 4.46.04 PM

I’m sure I’m not the only one who has, in the past, worn something to a dinner or a party that screamed fashion delusion; or worn something so horrendous that even your best friends turn and say “sério, amiga?”–sarcastically, off course. For those of you who don’t speak Portuguese, it translates to “Seriously, girl?”–as in “Seriously, girl? You wearin’ that?”.
